Dr. Kimberly
Dr. Kimberly is a 22 year educator with a passion for helping others. Her mindful journey began as a school leader looking for ways to support children and adults in schools. After completing a Mindful Based Stress Reduction Program (MBSR), which culminated with an all day silent retreat, sponsored by Vanderbilt University she was totally committed to sharing mindfulness with others.
After the MBSR course Kimberly continued learning about mindfulness, formal and informal strategies as well as the research that supports the benefits of mindfulness. She enrolled in Mindful Schools and completed the Mindfulness Foundations Course.
As her personal mindful practice proved to be helpful in her own experiences, she created and facilitates mindful trainings through Nashville Public Schools. She has also been instrumental in sharing her knowledge and love for mindfulness in conferences held by Alignment Nashville SEL Conferences as well as NAZA Conferences.
All of her education and personal mindful practices helped her to create A Day of Mindfulness which she now shares with other adults by giving them an engaging experience to explore mindful strategies and discover ways to support their self-care/wellness toolboxes.
“The most precious gift we can offer anyone is our attention. When mindfulness embraces those we love, they will bloom like flowers.”
